Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Brinkbell ("we", "us") builds an app that reads your calendars and rings alarms before your events. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
- Account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo to create your account.
- Calendar data. With your permission, we access your calendar events (title, time, recurrence and source) so the app can schedule alarms. We request read-only calendar access and do not modify your calendars.
- Your alarm settings. Which events you've armed, your lead time and chosen tones, so they can sync across your devices.
- Subscription status. We record whether you're on a trial or an active subscription. Payments are processed by Apple, Google and our billing provider (RevenueCat); we never receive your card details.
- Diagnostic data. Basic technical logs needed to keep the service running and fix problems.
How we use your information
- To show your upcoming events and schedule alarms before them.
- To sync your calendars and alarm choices across your devices.
- To manage your trial and subscription.
- To operate, secure and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your calendar content for advertising.
How your data is stored and shared
Your account, calendar connections and alarm settings are stored on our servers to enable cross-device sync. Calendar event details are also processed on your device to schedule local notifications. We share data only with service providers that help us run Brinkbell — such as Google (sign-in and Calendar API), our hosting provider, and RevenueCat (subscription management) — and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated account data, calendar connections and alarm settings.
Your choices and rights
- You can disconnect a calendar or revoke calendar access at any time in the app or in your Google account settings.
- You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your data from our servers.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Brinkbell is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
